After a long wait, Football governing body in Uganda FUFA has given Paidha Black Angels green light to return home.
Paidha since gaining promotion to play in the ongoing 2018/19 season, has been hosting games at Green Light Stadium in Arua which is about 68 miles from Zombo, their home place.
The development was passed by the 19th FUFA Executive Committee Meeting that was held on Thursday.
Paidha Black Angels FC has been granted permission to use the stadium as their home venue to host official FUFA Competitions matches with immediate effect following a recommendation on special grounds by the FUFA Club Licensing Committee to the Executive Committee.
However the club is required to ensure that the minimum requirements for club licensing are maintained for the rest of the season.”
The club was earlier bared from hosting their games at Bar Okoro as the Stadium didn’t meet the requirements as stipulated by the FUFA club licensing committee.
Consequently, Paidha’s home advantage has been negligible this season with only one home victory (2-1 win against Police FC) to their name.
The club is bottom of the log with only nine points after 19 league games and are now strong candidates to earn a ticket back to the big league.
Paidha’s first home league game this season will be up against Nyamityobora on Thursday, February 21, according to the fuxture.
