Allan Okello: Our Target Is To Win The League


KCCA FC ace Allan Okello has revealed that their target this season is to win the Uganda Premier League title.

The youngster was speaking during a pre-match press conference ahead of KCCA’s trip to face Bright Stars at Mwererwe on Saturday.

KCCA who finished second last year, are currently three points above defending Champions Vipers with 40 points from 17 games.

We are working together as a team and I believe that this has and will help us to stay on top,” started Okello.

Things are not easy of recent as every team is now difficult to play – Some are fighting relegation while other are playing for a title.”

Ours (target) is that we want to become champions at the last day of the season.”

KCCA had their chances of playing in the Confederation Cup group stages ended by AS Otoho before bowing out of the Uganda Cup at the hands of Tooro United.

The 12 time league champions have won four of the last six league titles – They missed out last year and in the 2014/15 season.

SC Villa are the record league winners with 16, KCCA have scooped 12, Express FC and URA have six and four respectively while Vipers have three on their name.

Maroons and Simba FC have won it twice. Coffee United, Nile Breweries, Police FC and Uganda Commercial Bank have one league title each.
